The hottest city-month is April in Magway, with an average high of 38.4°C, and the coolest is December in Taunggyi, at 20.8°C. By single month, the most rain falls in July in Thandwe, with 1,089 mm, and the least in February in Yenangyaung, with under 1 mm.

April is the warmest month in 47 cities and March in 2; December is the coolest in 23 cities, August in 16, January in 4 and July in 1 (in 5 other cities two or more months tie).
